Updated build pics

Not been on for a while but heres where im at with my turbo notch.

1999 351 Saleen motor and 6 speed.

Going in.

Finally in the car.

The mock up build on a different car , this was a 302 block so the heads where spaced up to give it a taller deck height like the 351 has.

Finally the turbo kit finished and coated and on the "real" car.

I picked up a Tial wastegate with a 15 PSI spring in there.
So im gonna use that for now , should see around 700-750.

Thanks man , yeah i have over a year into doing this motor/tranny swap.
What was supposed to be a simple swap became a little more , especially once i decided to smooth the engine compartment out , yuck.

Was going to be a supercharged car then i got to ride in a turbo cobra , then it was turbo all the way.
Cant wait to try her out...:rockon:

Yup pretty much...its all custom built.
Even down to the little fuel block brackets which i made at work.

I guess this is why the build has gone on for a while.
Everything is pretty much made to fit "this car".
I guess it helps being a fabricator / tig welder.

I made this blanking plate to which also served as a fuel pressure regulator bracket....now its not needed , the turbo has taken its place.

That looks awesome.

It looks like you're still using the stock intake, why is that?

Ya its the original intake that saleen put on their saleen S-351 cars back in 99.
Its been heavily ported though and a bigger throttle body.

I figured ill run it as is for now , it put down some good numbers when it was in the original saleen car ....around 700 with a YSI vortech on there.

That car is amazing. What turbo is on it? Only 15lbs come on, get some race gas and 20lbs lol.

Well i probably will down the road , ill see what 15lbs does for me first.
Ill end up putting in a boost controller im sure :burnout:
