Used Motor

I am looking to buy a used Ford Motor. I did a google search and everything that came up wanted personal information and to send a quote. When I had a Honda the process seemed so much easier. I was wondering where do people buy their motors from (i.e. Junk Yard, Online, etc)? TIA

if youre looking for a used Lightning motor its gonna be a little tougher to come by..junkyards and for sale threads are your best best but most of em get replaced because theyve had the windowed block mod

If you are looking to replace the motor in the 2004, don't do that just rebuild it. You have a small treasure in the 8 thread spark plug heads. The better way to is to get a good built short block, a valve job, gaskets and some cleaning. You would be good to go many years. There are several deals working right now with different vendors on blocks.

If you can find a used one, it will have 4 thread heads and the powdered rods that tend to give up when pushed.

Save a little more, do it once do it right.

Of course, if you are set on used, good luck with that.
