Auto tranny's like a C5 can hold a greater load and are much easier to drive when you start going up into the real power range. Especially if you drag race. It basically comes down to auto’s are better for drag racing and manuals are better for road racing. Some might not agree completely with this, but it can be substantiated.

I'm up around 410 rwhp and I personally think that's a sane limit for the street. Anything over that (unless you're racing, which I'm not) borders on unstable. As it is now when I punch it from a rolling start the rear end kicks out. I just can't imagine 500+ on the street. Would be fun to try it once, though. Hmmm.

If the a/c works, can idle for 30 min and does not over heat...Who cares how much HP it has ?????? That's why the new cars are so great! We can have it all.....
