VIN # and build sequence ???

Are the last 4 numbers in the VIN built in sequence ?.
Exp. 5263293 is to be built October 8th.
Mine is 5262865. Does that meen that mine will be built before the first VIN??
Can anyone else give examples of build date and VIN sequences ?

Cbrmuscle, what site are you using for the sticker? My build date is 10-1, however, the vin# will not bring the sticker up on Ford sticker lookup.

Mine took about a week and a half to show up online after receiving my VIN from my dealer. :burnout:

If it's up... Look in the bottom right hand corner for a sequence of numbers. There should be a 13 digit number and you are looking for the "middle six".

The ###### sequence is your build date. Year/month/day

The cars are not built in sequence....it is random VIN. You get your build number at the end of the production year run, this is not done the way GM is doing it with the zl1 (0001,0002, so on and so forth)

My window sticker finally appeared today, I had the ven# since the end of Aug. No explanation of the delay.

Thanks . My VIN ends in 3966. It's supposed to be in transit, but the sticker does not seem to be up yet.

Where are you located? I'm in Vancouver BC.
