VOPC Status Info

I have been calling VOPC for the past several weeks to monitor the status of my '03 Cobra. Using the "order Number" option, I can provide the dealer code, model year, model designator and order number and the system responds with a status that the car is scheduled to be built this week and delivered the week of 9/23.

I also have been provided the VIN by my dealer on a copy of his Daily Status Report. The VIN matches up exactly with my order number. However, if I use the VIN to check on my VOPC status, the system responds that no data is available. (The VOPC does correctly repeat my VIN for confirmation prior to telling me that no data is available. If I then use the "Order Number" option, VOPC gives me a build and delivery status as above.)

How can this be? The Daily Status Report with the VIN is dated 8/19/02, so one would think that the VOPC computer system has been updated to include the VIN by now.

Any ideas as to why the VIN won't work?
