I know Vortech and Paxton both say their new heads don't like the cold (I think it was somewhere in the 20s where they say it will die on a cold start)
Has anyone put either on their daily and winter drove it anyway?

I drove my 12 (paxton on corn) everyday last year, caught in snow twice. Let it warm up at idle before driving and stay out of boost for the first 5mins or so until everything is up to temp.

I plan to do the same with my 14, i'm in Va so winter isn't as bad as NJ, but still gets cold here sometimes.

I really like the Vortech units and it's pretty much exactly what I want out of a power adder... but last winter we did see near 0 temps for at least couple weeks.

Finally back on the East Coast
Get a heater blanket either with electrical connection or battery powered and lay it over the blower for the night to keep the oil in the blower from getting too thick due to low tempratures.

Overnight isn't so much an issue, the car sleeps in the garage. But it might have to sit at work or a friend's house away from power outlets during the day :-/
