Vote- 03 Cobra Vs. 06 Cayman Turbo'd

Ok quick run down, me and buddy are both deployed we get home in about 2 months.
He bought a 06 Porsche Cayman S- TPC Turbo kit at 4.5psi. 420rwhp weight right at 3000lbs.
I bought a 03 Cobra Vert- 478 rwhp pulley lots of cooling mods etc..

Vote who would win a straight up quarter mile drag.

People always think your car is slower than it is when you have a vert...if you can drive you got it...these cars are not easy to lauch at the track, make sure youre on a tire and you'll have it for sure

Ya it's got 295 E/T's on it (my 03) and I think I will pull, ya were looking at 500-600lbs diffrence or so. but hes making around 315rwtq. and im right at 500. But we will have video's and all when we get back. He's my roomate lol so i'm sure either way we will fight with more boost and more mods.

more like 900lbs. and cayman is mid engine with all the weight right over the rear axle which means it should hook really nice, and cobra is tough to hook. especially with IRS.

I think that this is going to be a damn good race, honestly...:rockon: I can see the Cobra pulling the Cayman out of the hole, but I can see the Cayman pulling afterwards. I think it'll be close and I'd definitely love to see some video and time slips of this going down...:beer:

actually removing the front passenger seat is the easiest thing. I think it is a 16mm bolts if i remember correctly. 4 very accessible bolts. remove them and the seat is out. under 5 minutes. it weighs about 40~lbs. :beer:

If you get a good launch, you should pull from a stop pretty good. Im sure your power band is a lot better as well.

From a roll, isnt the weight less significant and power would matter more? :shrug: If thats the case, the Cayman's only advantage would be being more aerodynamic.
