it almost looks like a plate for a second set of injectors. or maybe a nitrous injection plate idk, those are my 2 guesses.

I bet you guys are right. I don't see injectors on the outside, but what are the cylinder looking things? And what is that sensor?

Notice the redesigned intake manifold in their other pictures. It's a single fuel rail setup to go in the intake manifold valley. I would imagine they are attempting to get a straighter shot on the intake port.

A local guy found a photo of another engine they made that's more revealing.

There must be a linkage of some sort that goes from that TPS sensor to the internal throttle body.

Another local guy suggested the MAF may be right at the intercooler.

it's the primary fuel rail and then the secondary that holds a second set of injectors. most of nelson's cars have two fuel tanks- one for 91 oct and one for C16. so the car utilizes two sets of injectors for different boost levels.
