I really need to drive the foxes. I put a new catback exhaust on the hatch probably 4-6 weeks ago and still haven't driven it since...

Chasing hydroboost issues. Discovered my return for the hydro had too much pressure on it which was causing assist issues.

Had to separate out my return from the power steering loop. Added a second port to the bottle (up on side) and that made a big difference in braking performance.

It's still not 100%. Brakes feel like they drag after application. I need to check my booster to MC spacing next.

In hindsight, i should have left the vac booster. But I think i'll get this sorted out shortly.

(see post 1092 if you are curious where this goes)

Had fuel pump issues last month at the track, gonna be plumbing a 4303 this weekend.

Should be enough fuel for ALL the boost, for a street car at least

Not a Fox, but gonna share anyway.

Scored myself a deal. $1K for a running/driving '00 GT vert w/ 68k miles.

Needs a few things and some major cleanup and paint correction, but I can get this thing all set for cruising for another $500 or so. Going to put my spare Bullitt wheels on it.

But this will satisfy my itch for driving a Mustang more often, so I don't feel bad always working on the Fox

Had the 93 hatch out the other night. Got pulled over and the officer asked if I knew why...

Nope.

I guess my reverse lights were stuck on. The wires on the reverse light switch backed out of the rubber insulator and they were touching.

Hopefully got it squared away.

Thank you. For a mostly stock car it is very fun to drive. The flowmaster American Thunder exhaust that I recently installed is perfect. Brings back that old classic 5.0 sound.

This winter I'll be doing a paint correction on it. Thinking about adding a short antenna

I replaced a rivet yesterday on the 90 vert cross brace to frame yesterday. Made a loud clunking noise when moving it by hand.

I'm currently trying to track down a very loud clunk while driving slow over bumps. I ordered sway bar bushings and end links. They both look bad. The sway bar has a lot of movement up and down.

I need to check other things, ball joints, outer tie rods, and control arms.

The steering wheel feels tight.

This car came from New York, I hear the roads are crap......so...

Check the torque on your K member to frame bolts.

I had a similar issue ages ago. Turned out to be the bolts holding the K member to the car.

Thanks will do. I'm basically going to go over everything.

Alright guys, question for your foxbody guru’s. My 88 notch is mostly stock aside from 3.73 gears, headers, and ported intake. Motor was “refreshed” by previous owner. Since my ownership I’ve done the following. The car runs and drives fine until you get to driving for a bit. Then it will randomly stall coming up to a light. Any thoughts or suggestions? It’s got 11 degrees of timing now also.

All brand new brackets
New fan blade
New distributor
New spark plugs
New wires
New water pump
New alternator
Swapped to a 1 wire alternator

It could be many things. Have you checked for codes?

No codes come up. I’m thinking possible fuel pump issue. That’s literally the only part I haven’t changed yet. It’s just it only happens after it gets up to temp.

My buddy is currently experiencing this exact problem. We checked all kinds of things and still nothing so we checked his computer and some compositor were fried. He just ordered one so I'll let you know if that solved his problem.
