@Black Gold 380R. That car looks great, you are putting in some serious work. There is something therapeutic about buying an old fox and slowly going through it. Keep us updated.

Also met up with the foxbody group today we went on a cruise then took pics then went to twin peaks. I was in my f 150 parked way in the back.
Yes sir me and my friends are trying to grow the community in and around the city.DAMN thats a lot of foxbodies for a local gathering.....
Oh man you're putting in that work.Hello Everyone,
Did some more work to the Fox Body over the weekend. I only worked on the car Saturday. I had to help the wife take all the Christmas stuff down on Sunday. Besides, it was cold as hell this weekend LOL.
Sorry about the sporadic pictures, but I was just trying to get things done on Saturday.
I pulled the instrument cluster apart and removed the steering wheel. The cover behind the steering wheel had a gap I didn't like. So, I removed it and installed a new one.

Here you can see how bad the gap was. Unacceptable LOL.....

The old "while I'm in there" struck again. I noticed when I rolled the key backwards to the accessory position sometimes the radio would come on and other times it wouldn't because power was being supplied sporadically. So, time to replace the ignition switch. New switch installed.

Here you can see the old switch was separating causing the power in accessory position to be sporadic.

Okay, I took the instrument cluster apart so I could upgrade to LED bulbs. I decided to replace the license plate bulbs as well and replace the old yellow lenses as well.

Here is the instrument cluster with the new LED bulbs installed. You can see it is much brighter, but this picture was taken during the middle of the day, so the impact is not as noticeable.

I changed to LED bulbs in the HVAC controls as well.

Next weekend I'll put the side drip rail moldings back on and install the new door to body seal as well as some other items. She's getting there fellas.
Man that sucks and is so irresponsible of your buddy who has possession of your car.So I think as a few of you may know, I have enough cars to get me by. So mind you as I have said before I haven’t seen my foxbody since December of 2022 when I did maintenance on it last. My buddy works for AAA and he sends me photos of my car in an apartment complex. I said that’s weird the buddy I told to use the car doesn’t live over that way. Let me reach out and see what’s up. So I reach out and he says, oh man I locked the keys in the car a while ago.. I just haven’t had anytime to swing by and grab the keys from you to unlock it to pick it up. I said how longs the car been there with the keys visible ? Crickets.. so looks like I’ll be getting my car back by going to find it.
Car is a fishbowl. Anyone can see in it.. I’m trying to keep my cool about it, I just feel like I’m going to snap. It’s not the nicest car around, but the car is special to me. I’d never do that to someone else’s car. It’s in the back of an apartment complex.. it could be vandalized, stolen, or anything. You know how easy it is to steal these cars. You stick a screwdriver on the solenoid and she’s all yours..Man that sucks and is so irresponsible of your buddy who has possession of your car.
Anyone could steal your car.
I would be super pissed and, like you are, getting my car back ASAP.

I’ll be getting it today I can imagine. Don’t need to risk it being stolen or towed. That would piss me off more than I am now.I'm with you brother. I was reading your post and was getting pissed myself. So, I can only imagine how upset you are Dan. That Fox Body you have is the most desirable body style.
I hope you get it back soon.

That’s for sure man. I need to do a complete overhaul on this car. She needs love and attention. I’ve got to nip those rust spots now before it gets worse. It would be nice to get rid of the pins, I need to replace the driver handle anyways. You can also get into them pretty easy. You don't even need keys.
Essentially, give me a thin screwdriver, and I can be in the driver's seat of your locked foxbody in about 10 seconds. No damage to the car. It's that easy. You don't need AAA with these cars.
I generally don't explain how to do this, but it's known. If you want to guard against the method, remove your door pin rods completely.
Wait, is all that damage new since the last time you saw it?@Black Gold 380R as I said earlier. I’m a man of my word. Here’s how she looks… I’m not happy at all. I don’t even wanna discuss interior.
Yes sir. I’ll post a photo the last time I saw it.Wait, is all that damage new since the last time you saw it?
