Ok, I was in the process of changing my blown head gaskets(due to IC pump failing and running dry) and when I removed my stock water pump I noticed that one of the blades had broken off and the end was corroded. I fished a long ended magnet into every coolant port I could and pulled out as much metal fragments as I could. Before I started the project I flushed the rad several times. Is there anything else I can do before I put everything back together? Obviously I am getting a new waterpump, but I am terrified that I will put it all together and that that blade will come back to haunt me.

Thanks in advance.

If I am not mistaken there is a filter that can be installed into the cooling system . A good reverse flush should get most everything out. Maybe plan on flushing it 2 or 3 times over a period of time. Let me see if I can find any filter info for 'ya.

I am VERY INTERESTED in what broke. (I designed these pumps for Ford)

Please send me a pic of the impeller. Just an overall view where I can see the whole impeller is what I want.
