~what gears for 96-98 cobra~

What gear is the best for a weekly (not a d.d) 96-98 cobra? Lets say a full bolt on (CAI, LTs, tune, ect) car...

I voted with the 4.30s. I have 4.10s and there are times that I wish I had 4.30s then there are times on the freeway that I had 3.73s. Being that it will be a weekend drive I would go with the 4.30s and just stay off the freeway. It doesn't waste gas too badly on the freeway but sometimes above 90mph it gets hard to hear the person sitting next to you or the radio if it is not blasting. Just my thoughts.

Haha. I'm not afraid of 4.30s, I've had 4.10s in a couple of my 5.0 liter cars I'm just trying to decide between 4.10s, 4.30s or possibly higher (probably 4.56s as 4.88s are too much without a 6 speed). Seems like most on here think 4.56s are too much though...

Well if it is mainly a drag car, 4.56's are good. But more of a street/strip. 4.30's are perfect.

Yes, but if you drive on the highway like 70% of the time, 4.10's might be your gear.

My car has been daily driven and had them in since 2002. I have driven to the midwest and back and do drive on the highway. 4.30's are fine.

I have 410 cause all my driving is on the beltway around here. But I voted 430's since its not dd. Although lately, I have been spinning my ass off cause of the cold weather and we have a 1/4 mile marked off around here and the last time i raced I spun so bad through 3rd with new 275 street tires that I finished the 1/4 with 4th topped out. Oh well, go with 430's even if its a dd!!!!

I would have to say 4.30's I run them and love em..... but if its a dd i would say stick with 4.10, an go with 4.56 for the strip....
