What gears to run with a m6 and spray on a 28" tall tire with boss manifold any help would be great

373s are fine, need sticky tire though. Pulls like a MOFO!
Do people launch in 1st at the track at 5500 rpm's? or people leaving in 2nd gear since first is basically useless?
well I understand it has a point in being their I was just wondering if launching at such a high rpm if you'd get a better 60' launching in second gear v.s. launching in first and probably having to shift to second before the 60'
3.73. I upgraded from 3.31 in my M6 and it feels perfect. 4.10 would be too much IMO. Mine pulls hard.
id calculate your estimated MPH through the traps and figure out if you'll still be in 4th gear or not going through the traps.
With my 3.31 's, boss IM, CAI, OR X pipe, DSS 1 piece 28 inch MT drag radials, 92 race tune and shifting at 7600 I find that I shift into 4th about 50 ft from the finish, which sucks. I'm running mid 12's @113-114.

That definitely sounds a bit slow for your mods. I don't think it's the 3.31's causing this. You may want to check your tune

M6 or A6? Sounds very low for mods, what tune are you running?
I have a 2011 GT with the M6. I bought the car in August '13 with all the mods all ready installed. It was tuned (92 race)by Breenspeed from the receipts that came with the car. I had it dynoed on a mustang dyno. It pulled 446hp and 391ft.lbs in 4th. I got drag radials and was told I should've bought slicks. I have only run about 10 passes down the 1/4 mile. I'm still trying to figure out the best launch rpm. My best run was my last (slipping the clutch at 4500) and ran a 12.65 @ 113 with a 1.98 60ft. I have trapped a 114 on a earlier run.
A couple things I want to change is the gearing to at least 3.73 (might do 4.10's as it's not my DD) and get a line lock for better burnouts. I also want to get a two step rev control and sway bar delete. I have been thinking of trying another tune. I've read that AED, lund, VMP and amazon all have good tunes. Leaning towards AED. I want to datalog how it's performing first.

depending on the mph I would lean toward a 3.55...only way I go 3.73 is if it traps <128mph
