I am planing on buying a hid kit and cant decide what would be the best color temperature? I really cant decide between the 6000K and the 8000K. And if anyone has Pros or Cons between the colors that would help too.
Pictures would be great if anyone has any of the two different color temps for I can compare.
Thanks

if HID's are illegal in your state 6k's would be less obvious to what you have...

but seeing where you live, you could probably drive with 30k's and not get a ticket ever....

I wasnt sure to go with the 8k or the 6k on my old six. I decided to go with the 8k and i was extremely happy with them. I was worried they would be too blue, but they only have a slight hint of blue.

i vote 8k's

I had 4300K in my old integra and they looked great. ALL of OEM HID's are 4300K, no matter how blue you think they look. This is also the temp with the most visible light.

I have 5000k from Hidguy. I love them. I'm not a fan of a lot of blue nor yellow. I love the pure white. 5000k is ~98% white, and ~2% 'diamond' (white-blueish) w/ NO yellow. I couldn't be happier with them. I don't' have any good pics at the moment :(

As already stated the 4300k HIDs are the ones that are oem in all cars that come with HIDs, they have the most visible light and if you use them without projectors they light up the ENTIRE road and are pretty much totally white. Ive had the 3000k, 4300k, 6000k, and 8000k in my gti and my favorite by far were the 6000k they have a great color and excellent light output as compared to the 8000k which are a little on the blue side and have not nearly as much light output as the 4300k:beer:

I have 5k's from Hidguy.net and I love them as well. Best customer service, and everything on his site is cut & dry. Plain and simple.

I have the 6k for hid guy and I should have gone with the 5k for my Lincoln to better match the factory HID. The cobra has 6k for both the head lights and fog lights and I think 5k would have been better.

supposedly you start to lose visibilty on anything over 6000k. I have 8000k on my car and love them even though they sent me the wrong bulbs. I wanted 6000k but too cheap to buy new bulbs lol. Its pretty much what you prefer between the two although i think the 6000k looks alot better

I have 5k and they are nice. Super white. Good visibility. I would do 5k or 6k.
