What is This?

I have no idea what this does and it does not appear in the electrical schematics (at least I haven't found it). Mounts in the radiator.

That makes sense but I'm wondering why it doesn't show up on my electrical schematics.

I don't see it in any diagrams I have either. Weird. But definitely is the cooling fan low speed resistor.

After a little more research I concur that it is indeed the engine cooling low speed resistor. Part Number is 1R3Z-8L603-AA. Measures out at 1.7 ohms. Electrical connector is a F6DB-14489-ALA and is available as a pigtail Ford 1U2Z-14S411-CA (Motorcraft WPT-104).

I have not been able to find it shown on any schematics.
