both look excellent!

I vote for the whipple as it seems to have a little more headroom left above any Eaton based system. This is also for additional mods if you ever need them.

As the old guy's say, "how fast do you want to go?"

If you kept each setup the exact same as described the Apten/N20 setup will be faster, but the whipple/n20 would be sick.

How often do you think you will be using the N20 and going to the track? If it were me I'd go with the Whipple. I think it would be more useful on the street. More avaliable power everytime you hit the gas.

You didnt' state what level shot you are considering. So I'll say that the Whipple is a safer route to take IMO since your setup wouldn't include nitrous. And remember that with the Whipple setup you've got the same power all the time. With the Apten/N20 setup you'll have to keep filling up the bottle to make consistent power. Remember, you don't want to get caught on the street with an empty bottle when that braggart Camaro pulls up along side you. LOL!

The Apten/N20/Cams would be faster.... but the Whipple allows for more growth, would be alot easier to tune, and would save you money in the long run versus starting with pulleying/porting the Eaton.

With judicious parts substitutions you can lower the price of the Apten/Nitrous setup by about $750 with no loss in performance or reliability.
However, nitrous has several downsides. You need a switch chip; bottles need to be filled; bottle pressure needs to be maintained; it's not "instantly" ready for use.

Here's an example. On a 60 degree day, my initial bottle pressure is about 650 psi when I open the bottle. I turn the bottle heater on & it takes about 20 minutes for the bottle pressure to get up to 950. I could spray at any time but my tune is maximized for a bottle pressure of 950, so I would be rich at lesser pressures.

Just a little food for thought.

Like stated above the Focus pumps are around 160-170. And an NX bottle heater is just under $200 not $389
