I'm selling my roush tvs to upgrade to the 2.9 and I sold the stock gt500 throttle body with it. In reality I probably don't need an upgraded throttle body but since I'm buying a replacement I figured I might as well look into it. I've been looking at the FRPP dual 65mm for drivability but not sure I honestly need anything that big. I am at 5k+ ft elevation so anything I can do to open up the intake side to make the setup more efficient is going to help but If the gains will be small to non existent I might as well just get another stock gt500 TB and save 500 bucks.
Here is the setup I'm going together with, gas in the winter, e85 in the summer:
whipple 2.9
JLT 123 plastic intake
Injector Dynamics ID1000's
JPC fuel system with triple hat with dw300 pumps
offroad x pipe, jpc over axles
stock motor
At my altitude (7000+ DA's) I'm shooting for 10.5's with the setup above so may not be moving that much air.
Suggestions? are there any real gains to be had from an upgraded TB at the lower pressures we run on these 5.0's?
