I don't know how much the Mark Luton Racing one cost, but $300 for 30 Ibs sound pretty expensive to me.

I just built one for my car. I'll take some pictures and post them soon.
Here's a rough parts list with costs:
1 sheet- 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" Luan......$10 @ Home Depot
2 rolls - Black general purpose automotive carpet...... Total: $20 @ WalMart
3 pcs. - Bolt/Nut/fender washers (2)/lock wasker/Wing nut.....$5 @ local hardware store
2 pcs. - L bracket......$4 Home Depot
Total Cost: $39 and about 3 hours worth of labor
Tools needed: power Jigsaw, drill, sandpaper/wood file/staple gun with 1/4" T-50 staples, socket set, T-50 torx-head to remove seatbelts.
I was going to try to find the exact color matched carpet but since I'm replacing the front seats with Black Sparco Roadsters, I chose to make the rear delete in Black. Also, I chose to make this one myself because I wanted custom slots in it for the 4-point Schroth Rallye harnesses to come through.
If you have the time and inclination, make it yourself. This is one of the few mods that you can do yourself without spending big $$$.
