Hey everyone, Im looking for a good mid pipe for my lm1 catback. Its gotta be o/r, I cant really afford 500 bucks for a catted midpipe. So in your opinion, Whats the best sounding mid pipe for this set up. Feel free to link clips and thanks for the help:rockon:

I have the SLP loud mouth 1 and i just bought a pro chamber. A guy here on the forum has the same setup, and he says it sounds good. I think with an X pipe it would be extremely raspy.

catted x or prochamber
Do not do an off road h pipe, it will sound like a pickup with glass packs.
Trust me on this.
Best would be a catted prochamber but I don't know if they still make those

I had an M-55 for a while that was marginally tolerable with the factory mid-pipe, but still sounded similar to the LM1. Adding an SLP X was a huge mistake - it got louder and even more raspy - sounded awful, as obnoxiously loud does.

I had the SLP LM1s with Kooks headers and Kooks catted X and it was ridiculous and raspy. I ended up switching to the Borla Stingers with the Kooks headers and x-pipe and it sounds a lot better. I tried switching to the Kooks O/R X-pipe and it's too loud now. I'm getting ready to take it off if you're interested in it. I paid about $350 for and it's only been on for about 3 months. I'll take $300 shipped.

I'll be getting my pro chamber on Friday and will install it probably saturday morning. If weather permits i'll get a video of a WOT pull for you all.

Luckily for me if it does have alot of drone/raspyness this setup is only temporary for me any ways. I'm going SRA so with it i'll be doing kooks headers, shorty pro chamber, and magnaflow magnapack cat back next winter :)

Ive been wondering how it will sound in person compared to that video.. because my buddy's car sounds amazing in person.. but on video it doesnt sound like any thing special.

I'm also wondering how loud its gonna be in my interior.. being i have no rear seat :burnout:

Well heres my first start up last night.. sorry for crap video quality i dont have a camera lol..

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1_BBxyrFUw&feature=youtube_gdata"]Mac pro chamber SLP cat back first start up 2004 Cobra - YouTube[/nomedia]

Overall its not that bad. It has a little bit of rasp to it, but hell it beats the car being so quiet! I'll get a WOT video clip once weather is good enough..

*EDIT* ARGH.. have to edit video. Music didnt stop before start up lol

Nice, Sounds pretty good.... bet it will sound alot better at about 6k rpm lol

Dude you don't even know! They sound AWESOME rumbling at around 4,000 rpms :D

Videos do these mid pipes no justice.. they sound sick. I like my buddy's setup alot more then mine though. He's running mac LT's, pro chamber, and magnaflow magna pack cat back. It basically has ZERO raspyness to it.. nothing but bad ass ;-)

I'll eventually be doing exactly the same.. but with kooks long tubes.
