Which tranny fluid: royal Purple Syncromax or Gm Syncromesh

There is a poll somewhere on this forum. I think the general consensus is to go with the GM Synchromesh.

Stupid question here. I take it that GM Synchromesh Fluid is not considered ATF or Dexron / Mercon III like the sticker on the side of the tranny says to use.

Would this be a Warranty Voiding thing to do to the transmission?

Do you also add the Ford Friction Modifier to the GM Synchromesh?

Im gonna go with royal purple. In some of the manuals it says to use Mobil 1 ATF **Full Synthetic**. So since GM Sync is a semi-synthetic Im not gonna mess with it. Frankly I dont know enough to argue with the manufacturer but just my opinion...
