Hey guys, I want to get a whipple belt guide together...

After finishing my install, I can tell you the stock belt doesn't come close to fitting the whipple and 3.5" pulley with a 100mm idler, or without.

Post your confirmed, and non-slip pulley and belt selections.

If you're going to do a belt selection guide you might want to use my Eaton belt selection table as a guide for designing yours. I'd be happy to host the Guide on my website if you gather the data. Might be good to have both tables on the same page for the benefit of all, but that's up to you. If I can help you in any way let me know.

With Billetflow 4 pulley set...

I had the stock 3.5" pulley on and the Billetflow 4 pulley set (1 92mm pulley and 3 100mm pulleys). I used a 4080772 (77.25") and was barely able to wrestle it on.

I test fitted my 3" this week. I was not able to get a 4080760 on (76") and it was not that close. I was going to try a 765 but I cannot find one. I am about to run out and see how the 772 works with the smaller pulley.

OK. 772 will work with both pulleys and still have travel in the tensioner.

I guess I should consider myself lucky since I should be able to drive to the track, pull the belt to the side, swap pulleys, and snug the belt up without the PITA of having to reroute the belt. I would sure like to try a 765 just to see if I could get it on the 3" though...

Thanks.. i will add it to the list.

Generally, how much bigger do people go on belt size when adding the 4 piece idler set to a stock eaton and stock pulley? 75.1" to???

The hardest part of putting together a belt selection guide is filling in all the blanks for the out of the ordinary combinations. There are combinations of different upper pullies, lower crank pullies, number of idlers, size of idlers. And sometimes the recommended belt size provided ends up not being correct. LOL!

K080765? Where did you get it? I cannot even find one on the Gates site...

It looks like Goodyear does not make one so I was starting to worry that I was out of luck.

I want to know too... I think I will need the 76.5" belt with my single idler and 3.5" pulley.
