Whipple Intake Will lowering the engine allow the strut tower brace to fit

I just purchased some new adjustable motor mounts for my '08. I'm going to eventually install a whipple 2.9 along with their intake and I would like to retain the factory strut tower brace.

From the threads I have read, the brace will not fit without modification to the intake tube, or the brace.

If I lower the engine, will it fit?

How much will I need to lower it?

Are there any negative effects from lowering the engine?

Yes there are negative effects. Steering feels heavy and the ride becomes harsh. There is a thread going addressing the issue.

With a BMR 1/2" K the stock brace will fit but not the FRPP brace.

Thanks for the info. That's enough reason for me to leave it at the stock height.

Do you have a link to the thread you mentioned above?
