Who has 4.30's? Impressions?

Im going to get 4.30's put in next week and was wondering, for the people who have/had them, what they thought of them. I had 4.10's in my solid setup and wanted more gear then. I can't wait to see what 4.30's in the IRS is like! :banana:

nothing bad to say here. my car isnt a daily driver and even iif it was its still tolerable on the highway. 70 mph @ 2700 rpm or something like that. i woulda got 4.56s if i was doing it agian.

my car see's maybe 100 miles a month. Not much highway driving either.

I had 4.10s in my black 99 wish I had more gear, honestly the 4.10s are great for a 32v motor Daily driver, I would do 4.30 if i had to do it again, 4.10s are perfect on a 2v motor 32v need a 4.30 for sure

i love my 4.30s the car is a totally different animal with 4.30s if you go this route i recommend drag radials

Yeah, 4.56's going in after driving around with 4.10's for 3 years now, not enough fun :shrug:

the T45s and TR3650s have a 3.37 first and i have the 4.30s and wouldn't want it any other way

I'm just curious, what exactly do you do with 1st gear with ratios >4.10? I've got 4.10 and find the 1st gear pretty useless. As the 5th gear.. It's basically a 3 speed gearbox with an extreme overdrive (t45). And it's sound silly accelerating, wa-WAAA-WAAA-WAAA-mooooooo.

I'm kinda ashamed of the gear ratio in the gearbox, I just hadto vent it a little..

You get out of the hole quickly and shift like your life depends on second gear. After that, you look at the poor fool in your rear view that thought first gear was a waste of time with steep gears :-D
