How do you feel about Texas speed lsx block
Texas Speed is a legit shop... however we have some really bad ass places in Houston and there is also Thompson Motorsports. I’d love one of their motors.

I was thinking about doing a TS short block and then having rpm do their new Frankenstein h/c package because they’re sort of local to me
Build it right:
Fore Innovation duel pump fuel system
Build the motor
D1
Headers and exhaust
Tires and rims
Whatever else your tuner says is a good idea.
Thanks. Already have HCI headers full exhaust and wheels/tires.
Building the motor is fine but I want to keep it below 800whp whether it is built or not. If I can do it without I would be happy but it is not necessary.

you already have a pretty aggressive HCI combo, what’s it make? Are you on pump gas? You could squeeze a little more out with decking the heads some provided you have valve/piston clearance and running E85.
D1X will make over 1000rwhp and still uses the street series gear case. The F series take more HP to turn. The D1X is one of their newest blowers and is almost identical to the F1A in power output.
You can make 800rwhp on the stock shortblock but it will eventually let go if you beat on it often. I’d do Rods and pistons.
My car (C7 Grand Sport) is being picked up on 2/22 and sent to RPM. It’s getting a D1X, forged rods, forged pistons, custom cam/DOD delete, 2” American Racing headers, LT4 injectors, LT4 HPFP, RPM custom low side fuel system, Flex Fuel and probably some more I’m forgetting. Check out the below video for what they made with an LS7 and D1X.
do you already have a c6z?

Wow, that is just not alot of meat between those cylinders. Hell where the sleeves are siameesed its pretty thin. I also dont like the partially closed/open deck, thats a lot of top cylinder reinforcement thats not there.stock bare LS7 block, go ahead bud its your dime...

Does the LSX have the same issues as the LS7?
Current set up pulled 580 on 93.
LSX block is rated for over 2000hp. It will take anything you can throw at it. Keeping the heads down would be your only worry.Wow, that is just not alot of meat between those cylinders.
