Since Tirerack don't stock 305/35/18 tires, I’ve been looking around and I did not realize how expensive 18" tires are. I am looking to buy 18" wheels as an upgrade from 17"s.
295's seems to be way cheaper and almost every tire store has them but I know some brands are wider than others.
So what brand tires are the widest? I know I can put 315’s but I was really looking into 305’s because of my budget and now 305’s are a little expensive for me so 295’s seems like a good choice.

Right now I have 03 chromies

275/40/17 Front 17x9

315/35/17 Rears 10.5

I want to install: 10th anni replicas 18”

275/35/18 Front 18x9

295 or 305/35/18 Rears 10.0

I started off with Goodyear GSD3 tires in 295, and loved them. But, when they were worn out after 3 years I replaced them with Michelin Pilots. Although both are 295s.. the Goodyears were wider, and looked a thousand times better...

I hate the way the Michelin looks... but they balance out VERY well on the road.

Wow, those 295's look wide enough. The Goodyears do look slightly wider. Any suggestions where to find 18' tires for a good price? I looked at Tirerack, Discount, and Onlinetires. I love the Goodyears but $300 per tire? No way.

Yokohama Advans will give you a 12.2 section width (wider than any tire listed here so far) but will set you back a few dollars.

Its also not a drag radial, which means you can drive it under any conditions.

Tirerack is where I always buy my tires. All 3 sites you listed have good prices. And, if ya think the Goodyears were expensive.. look at those damn Michelin prices. :lol1:

I agree BFG tires do run wide compared to many others. I use to run 295/35/18 G-Force KD's, and they were defanently not a undersized 295.

I do quite a few wheel tire packages on the C5 and C6 Corvette's and have found the Kumho MX in the 295-35-18 to run pretty wide. Most of the customers that have purchased these tires have liked them. They are not that expensive.

I know I'm bringing back this post and I have not got the tires yet. So I think I will go with BFG tires since they look to be the widest tire for a 295. Any more opinions?
