Why does my car seem lower than others?

Hey guys I have BMR springs and the car is just too low. It scrapes way too often, won't load on a dovetail trailer, and most driveways it will scrape. I tried the 2013 CJ springs and they were even worse!!

while the car is pretty low, it's the fact the long tubes hang really low, that's why you're rubbing all over, my Pypes tuck way up in

we have some speed bumps around here that my mustang would scrape on even before I dropped it... I feel like hunting down whoever decided to make the bumps that big and pulling a liam Neeson on their asses

With bmr springs the lowest points on my car are the 2 intercooler pipes that hang down in the front from the paxton and the pypes headers.

Yeah the LT's are definitely making it worse, but I can't even drive onto the 5' ramps without driving on a board first or the front clip scrapes. The pic on the trailer is the front clip actually bottomed out to the point it was pulling on it. A friend of mine has the same springs and it's not as low. Wonder what could make a difference?

2011 specific? I know the 2010 and below end up making our cars a little lower

hmm, I will have to check into that. I know I had to change the strut mounts to the Ford Racing
GT500 style.

If you switched mounts to the GT500s then they are pre 2011 struts. There is a good thread over on S197 started by BMR I believe and they talk about the pre 2011 struts making our cars lower in the front. Also has good side by side comparisons.

Everything on that site is set to private. Had to register so it may be a while before I can see it. Yeah I just looked at Jegs site and it list the 2011 and up as a new item so they probably didnt have them out yet when I bought mine last year.

Rears are the same length. I will copy one of the pics showing them measuring the struts side by side and paste it here

Well looking back at the thread its only select struts and they get you about .5 inch lower. By the way I have the same struts as you here is how mine looks, its pretty low also but with a 17" wheel

Nice. Digging the white ^

I have the exact same problem. I lowered my car with K-springs and Koni Shocks/struts and while the profile looks good it just too low in the front. I also have 26 inch tires up front so I'm going to buy a set of 20 inch street wheels with a 28" tire to gain 2 more inches. I scape the front spoiler and going over speed bumps my H-pipe bottoms out pretty bad. I'm also thinking about switching to a 1 inch spring to see what that does.

I'm concerned right now about getting a jack under it if I have to. I know I wouldn't make it up that trailer.

im not sure the OP was even asking a question. its obvious with your exhuast hanging down that your car is going to hit shit. you're only as high as your lowest hanging part.
