I am pretty new to all of this, but so far it seems to me that road courses are about managing heat, and drag racing is about breaking things.

Few changes over the winter.

Pulled the gen 2 vmp and vmp 72 throttle body for a VMP Gen 3 with a KB twin 75 throttle body.

Swapped out the racestars for forgestar drag wheels

Adding:
JPC linelock with Morris Engineering brake rotors up front
wired in the select a shift for the 6r80 swap
13/14 cluster swap and 13/14 tail light swap

Not 100% done yet, waiting on the line lock to show up tomorrow so I took the time to clean all the wheels and wax them. Hopefully that and the ceramic pads will lower the brake dust issue.

17x7 fronts 235/55 General Gmax AS-05 tire, 44#
18x10 rear with a 305/40 555R for street/work duty 51#
15x10 rear with 295/55 ET Street SS for track/weekend play. 50#

While not the 100% lightest setup they are 60# lighter than the stock wheels and tires and will handle the street duty without an issue.

Winter is over, spring is on the way so my spring mod plan is switch to Amsoil ATF (on order) for the trans and install that Blowfish V2 shifter bracket (on the way).

To follow up, my winter mods are in:

Maximum Motorsports k member and bumpsteer kit, Vorshlag camber plates, Racing Brakes 2 piece floaters all around and 19x11 Forgestsrs with 305/30R19 RE71R's.

I have had three track days with these changes and the car is very different from what is was at the end of last season. I have not yet found the limit of the car's new level of grip, which is high enough that I am keeping up with much lighter, supposedly more nimble cars in corners and rolling into full throttle much more often The front feels much lighter and more responsive, so much so that I need to develop a whole new level of smooth for the steering. It's just great!

Congrats. I had to move my dyno to Monday 5/6 but all good.
Going to just cruise and enjoy this year until NMCA late August. Then push it hard Racing the end of the year with Mod Nats the final goal. NMRA BG also on the radar.
