Shit is getting REAL with the Huracan platform.

Heffner just went 8.3 @ 176mph on drag radials. Drove the car to the track and back with zero prep. They actually didn't even plan on running it, but figured what the heck and stopped at a test and tune. This is with a "basic" stage 2 turbo kit of theirs with a built motor and billet clutch for safety. Same kits that were in the 1150-1350whp range with the Gallardos.

Also caught wind that UGR just broke into the 7s with their Huracan. This too is also a Stage 2 bolt on kit, but with a billet clutch.

Can't wait to see where this platform goes in the coming months.

Trying to get video together right now, but they just left the track. Pretty crazy to see the shop GTRs that are setup for drag racing are in the mid to low 7s yet this street Lambo is just a few ticks slower. Im sure the Huracan SL will be even better once it comes out.

I guess everyone is going to retire their gallardo's and follow suit.

I've been following the progression of these turbo lambos fairly closely on their forums and it seems like this transition is already in the works. The DCT transmission still needs some development for the 1R, 2R, and X packages, so they can get away from the air-shifted sequentials they are currently using. However, if you can run 7s and nearly 190mph with "just" a stage 2 or stage 3 package then what more could you really ask for.

Going to be a very interested arms race between Heffner and UGR as they jockey for positioning as #1 with the Huracan.

Saw that yesterday, things are getting interesting lol. They said the vid of the pass should be up sometime today. Pretty crazy time to be an car enthusiast, car is probably making around 1700-1800whp I'd guess to trap that high and we know UGR has made a solid amount over 2k at the wheels, should be interesting to watching the dct development on the huracans

It would be crazy if we had FU money to blow on building $900k street cars like these guys lol.

Not sure what this package is on the Huracan, but it is most likely a 1R build which would be right around $150k-200k when everything is all said and done. Not cheap by any means when you consider the cost of the car on top of this.

One owner on Lambopower had a good point though about switched to the Gallardo platform and getting over the initial cost. He had previously built on every platform imaginable from Mustangs to Vettes to Vipers to Porsches to Supras to now the Gallardo. Each prior platform took numerous builds to finally achieve whatever goal he had for the car. Could have been street racing, 1 mile, 1/4 mile, you name it. Either way it took years and numerous tries with motor setups, turbos, and ECUs to finally get the most out of the car.

He ended up just getting sick of constantly chased the potential of the car. When he got into the turbo Gallardos he could use the same setup for all applications on just one build. Spend the money now and completely forget about it. Everything had been taken care of by UGR so all he had to do was enjoy. He spent nearly just as much on the the Viper, Porsche, and Supra platforms in the end.

Just a different perspective to have.

It's not even quite a 1R build I believe as it still has the stock plastic intake, which are at the limit at around 36psi from what i've been reading
