Dino, I don't have a stock set anymore. I have the SS steps painted in silver but they don't fit as good as a stock set smoothed and painted hence my reason for getting a stock set.

Just dye them LL. Mike did that write up on how to do the bed rails, just do the same with your steps.

Yea, dyeing them will make them look BRAND new

Or..just to try..get that mothers Back 2 Black and soak them in that and see if that brings them back to life.
