i think there a some dealers, reps, and various other Ford/SVT personnel who have superb info, based on knowing others who have genuine access to what's really going on and why, and also being genuinely skilled at processing the batch of assorted facts they have to assemble some accurate forecast. basically they know what the F they are talking about.

problem is, IMO there are for more dealership employees making fast and loose predictions just because that's the best chances for them to make some $$$ in the near future. there are also FoMoCo/SVT folks who give you only canned responses. it seems some reps are a hell of a lot better than others too.

a small number of people develop long term, durable and reliable skills while others work on the quick grab, letting the chips fall where they may.

if you don't have the skills to tell if the individual you're speaking with has both integrity and ability, then you're just rolling the dice.

you could also beat the bushes, assemble some email message of what you're looking for and then put in the work of contacting dealer after dealer after dealer until you find somebody that may have a genuine allocation available.
