I did notice quite a few errors in option descriptions.

Awesome stats! So 4,885 total - 92 pre-production cars = 4793 regular production vehicles. A convertible 13 Shelby will be a rare sighting (just over 800) but not as rare as my glass roof equipped Coupe!

Figure probably approx. 4,000 more Shelby's for 2014 and total production should be under 9,000 for both years.

Because it would look awful? I thought Mopar guys were the only "I own 1 of blah-blah" obsessed? Say it ain't so!

At any rate, I'll chime in,

I'M ONE OF FOURTEEN! YIPEEE!

Trying to break down the entire package, but my Grabber blue is 1 of 45 with the black accents. I am going to guess its even more rare as a base coupe with shaker pro, navigation and cover as the only options.

edit: upon further review I have it down to being 1 of 12....not bad

No way to break it any lower using this sheet Devious. But rest assured your car is way lower than 1 of 45. In fact, due to there being only 4,885 of which 4,000 are coupes there is really no way to have that many of the exact car. With all of the different color/stripe/option combos and the low total production number, unless an owner has a black Shelby you can pretty much figure there won't be more than 10 to 20 of a car, no matter how it was configured. And even with the black ones, probably no more than 50 to 75 in any particular option breakdown. Sorry...crunching numbers and statistics is kind of my thing. ;)

I see the appeal. Only two SGM/Blue striped convertibles were produced for 2013. I think it would be neat if there is only one other car with the same color combination and body style I have and would be even happier if mine was the only one.

Thanks for the Info! Karson219...I've been waiting on this...good numbers, well by this I have 1 of 41 in black, but it could be less on how others are optioned. I knew by how mine was optioned even tho it was black, it wasn't typical of others.

Thank you, Karson (for sharing) and Iceman (for posting) the stats!

I find them interesting but, unlike some, the so-called exclusivity of the color/option combo I have is little more than a curiosity for me. I bought the car, in the color and with the options I did, purely because it's what I wanted. My choice had very little to do with being able to say "I own 1 of X" that were built with a certain combination of features.

I think those of us who actually ordered our cars, spec'd them out in the color and options we wanted because that's how we wanted them. Why else would we have ordered them?

However, now that the actual numbers have been released, it's yet another very cool thing about the car. That not only did Ford build very few of them, there are only a few of each specific color/option combo. And while you may never tell someone yours is one of only X or XX in a certain option configuration, I'd be willing to bet you will tell someone in the near future that it is 1 of 4,885 2013 Shelby GT500s. How's that any different?

Curious as I haven't ordered yet, but do you learn production # upon order, or when your paperwork arrives?

Edit: 1 of 18 stripe deletes in grabber blue is interesting. I'm surprised there were that many. As others have already stated, with just that information posted I can't break down any further to base:pp or interior options.

I'm really interested in production number though.

Are pre-production cars given numbers? Or will someone out there actually own #1?
