VEGAS BABY!
Nut swinger alert nut swinger alert! I can't wait to see and read your post when the 6 speed manual numbers get released.:loser:

Ha! Motortrend posts a 13.0 quarter mile... I guess adding more power to a gigantic pig doesn't help much. Dodge needs to seriously focus on weight, this baby weighs 4260 lbs!

Good power, but I still can't stand the styling nor the heavy weight. If you want to make a car appealing then cut some pounds!!!

Didn't MT also get high 12's from the first GT500's they tested? That should say somethig about their driving skills. The 111 trap alone says it's a mid 12 sec car.

While 13 flat isn't anything great, I wouldn't get too stuck on one magazine test.

Great numbers! Even if they are 20ish high, they will make that car move out nicely. I agree that the next thing should be an effort to lighten them, but I'd take what I could get, haha.

The details in this video says this one made 420/419. SAE , smoothing level of 0 .

He then shows uncorrected numbers and if makes 440/436.

Badass engine for sure ... Imagine with simple mods like intake / exhaust and a tune ..

Some info on the motor :
The new Dodge Hemi V8 engine in full detail - 5.7, SRT8 6.1, and 392 6.4

Apparently it was to make 525hp but wouldn't pass their 200,000 mile extreme condition test at that level .

actually yes it is... a 396 is considered a BBC.

Depends the old 396 camaro ss was indeed a bbc, but they also had a 400 sbc. The old Hemi 392 and 426 were big blocks. The new style motors like the 427 ls7 in the z06 corvette are not big blocks. The new challenger 392 is based off of the old engines block thus it is not a "big block". You can have a 502 lsx but it still isn't a big block because the block is still the same as a 347 lsx. Back in the day they used different block sizes for the 340 and 440, 302 and 428, 350s and 454s, and so forth, that's where the term big block and small block or rat vs mouse motor came from. Car manufactures don't use different block sizes anymore, they use one standardized block size and change the bore and/or stroke to get the different cubic inches.
