I used a 2004 Navigator crate engine for fitment and development purposes.
When I dis-assembled the car for paint,
that motor was forged and put into my buddy's 98 Cobra.
I have a new engine at Boss330 racing waiting for me to pick up.
Al knows what I am looking for in it and am very sure he has done it right.
High torque.
The fly in that ointment, was my cams were in process when Crane closed up,
so a compromise had to be made there.
Cams going in have somewhere between 12 and 13mm lift,
in Boss330 ported 03 Mach 1 heads.
I am keeping 3.55 gears in the IRS.

Yep, it's basically a brand new, hand built car.
All factory options, AC, ABS, TC, IRS, T56, Mach 460, etc.
And a hand built Boss330 engine of course.
Huge thanks to Al Papitto for tech and moral support.

Wow!! a four year build. It is impressive that you stuck with it this long. Nice work.

A lot of research, development, planning, patience and funds.
Doing a project like this, affords a lot of learning about these cars.
You learn a lot of differences between New Edge and SN95 and Fox cars.
Also, early and later New Edge.
There are differences, and a lot of similarities.

I've been following this build from the early stages over on other boards. I'm extremely happy to see that Steve's made his way over here and has decided to share this project!

Believe me when I say this... I completely understand. ROFL

It's going better than even for project "R" it looks like! I'll be staying tuned!

Also, with a Boss330 built 5.4 32V motor in it, (AP ported heads, LT's, etc.)
it should be pretty strong.
Can't wait to get her going.
In the sunlight, the Torch red paint really stands out.
It should be a pretty fun car.

The motor is all dressed on the engine stand.
(accessories, LT's, belt, intake, wiring, etc.)
Waiting for the clutch to come. (FRPP Terminator clutch)
Then she goes in.
If I can get my darned camera to work, I will post motor pics.
