Last time I ran the 1.5 in 11 mins flat. Looking to be in the 10:30 range or less next time. Should be running it again in September.

My fastest 1 mile is about 6 mins, but that was in High School.

Junior year in HS i got 5:50 and i blacked out for a little while after i stopped. I was 5' 10" @ 170lbs and pretty well built.

My little brother is a skinny build at 6' 1" and 165lbs and runs it in the 5:20's

There was a guy in my weight training class though that would always come in at around 4:45, really short a stocky guy, it boggled my mind. He was prolly aroun 5' 4" and would bench over 215lbs . . .

I'm running right around 6:35 currently. I have the endurance and speed for a faster time but have pretty severe patellar tendonitis in my right knee that is limiting me.

6'4" tall, 190lbs, 24 years old.

6 mins flat was my best during a PRT while i was in the Navy..finished up the 1.5 mile run in 9.01 and puked about 30 secs later

I've never actually clocked just a mile, but did many PRT's in the navy with the 1.5mile run. normally right at the 8 minute mark, with a best of 7:52. 6'2" & 190lbs. Having long legs really plays a role (for me at least).

6 years later, over a pack of smokes a day, and at 6'4 & 210lbs, i know do the 1.5mile in 9:45. old age or something i suppose.

Back in highschool when I ran cross country and played soccer year round I could easily run a 5:00/mile. Fastest 5k time then was 16:40. I was 5'10" and weighted 165lbs then. Now I am 5'10" and 180lbs and run a 6:00/mile. I don't just run anymore though. I train for traithlons, so I focus on all the aspects no just the running. Just signed up for a professional training class, classes 1 mile record is 5:19 by a friend of mine and I am looking to beat it along with the 19:19 1/2 mile swim record I am going for....

I run 6 miles a day @ 8 minutes/mile.... never tried full out for just 1 mile though. I'd guess around the 6 minute mark.

I'm 6'2" @ 180lbs, been running every day for about 6 months now.

never just ran 1 mile.. but back in 1999, in Hawaii, the Admiral (Admiral Archie Clemens, CINCPACFLT) said anyone that beats him in the PRT gets 48 hour special liberty.. come on, how hard can that be, he's in his 50's.. old guy ran low 10's in the 1.5 mile.. I ran 9:22 that day for a 1.5 mile run, after doing about 90 pushups and 100 situps..

now.. yeah right.. lets NOT go there...

The fastest 1 mile time I ever had was 5:38 on the X-country track at Lackland AFB. 5:10 was the requirement to be on my highschool basketball team and I made that at 5'11" and 240 lbs. I don't know how close it was, but I suspect I was barely under the wire. A little heavier now and I only run when chased, and even then I would rather stop and fight. I'd probably have a heart attack and die inside of 100 yds these days.

Fastest mile was back when I was in high school at 5:17. My fastest 3 mile time was 18:23. I was 6' 180 back then. I'm now hovering around 205 and I'm not even sure I could run a mile at double what my fastest time was.

not at my post...
5:12 for the 1-mile, just under 12 mins for 2 miles and 18:30ish for 3 miles. Those were my personal best several years ago. I can still hit low 6 min miles, but I have not made a balls out effort for a low 1 mile time in awhile. I focus more on distance/long haul now. I started doing Triathlons last year, so I have had to work on endurance!
