I will be that guy that says the street is no prepped strip. Far from it.
The demon is a 9.6 or whatever car on a prepped strip with hero runs. This GT500 will be 200 lbs less than a stripped out demon, which most aren't. A demon is 808 on 93 octane. From what I'm hearing, the GT 500 will be 760HP.
20 HP/100 lbs, that puts the GT500 right at 8hp less, give or take a few, on a stripped out demon. Id say, imo, it' not an absolute win for the demon. Let' just see what the GT500 gets for sure.
The demons suspension is set up for drag, but the mag suspension in the gt500 may do ok in drag mode.
Everyone knows nothing is for certain in dragging on the street...shoot hit one little oil spot an there goes the wheel spin. In a perfect street condition, no dust, rocks, hot road/tires, the demon beats the gt500, no question.

Demon is real, GT500 is just rumors and speculation and won't be out for a while.

11.74, 11.95, and a 12.08 @ 122. Same night HC went 10.96, 10.90, and 10.89 @ 126. yes I have DR's, but that mph....

One thing I have learned is to not judge the whole tree based on a rotten apple.

I have seen stock to the tire ZL1s running low 11s at high 120s.

Not only is the ZL1 on the heels of the hellcat straightline wise, it demolishes it in handling / driving experience.

I would not call that a turd.

it was a turd and the owner ate some humble pie that night. 18 10spd. Based on what he was able to run, my CTSV would've gave it a run for it's money, in the 1/4. I can see in handling, but driving experience depends on the driver. My car has room for days and is very comfortable for my commutes.

I don't peruse the chevy sites. I don't even like the V sites. But I'll be at street car revolution 12/10/17 at Noproblem raceway. And Boost Night 1/13/18 at Noproblem raceway if you know of any stock or tire only ZL1's that want to play. I don't race based on other peoples vids. I go to the track.
