So, I have a question about this gauge and what it reads. On the Aeroforce website it gives parameters it can read depending on non-CAN or CAN vehicles. What is the 03 Cobra? I also have been trying to find out if you need all these extra kits with the gauge. I already have a WB A/F guage, so I won't need that function. I want to know engine coolant temp, IAT's, MAF counts, volts, and fuel pressure and these all look like they are read without extra kits. The only extra kit I would want would be an Oil Pressure kit. Does this sound right? Thanks.

seems like alot of people have been having problems with these guages, i'll wait to see how these newer ones turn out. Not prepared to buy knowing that it has intermittent problems. they are really expensive once you add on all the extras and a pillar pod and for some of us install...it's like $1100 bucks all said and done. yikes. i think we need a better option.

It reads basically all the things you listed except oil pressure. There is a bunch of other parameters it reads as well.

As far as people saying there waiting because of all the issues they seem to have, I say bs. Sure I've heard a couple people on here say they are having issues, but everyones making it sound more dramatic than it really is. I'm sure people have problems with other brand gauges as well.

Well, I personally have one that completely stopped working for no apparent reason!:fm: Now all it does is flash the LED indicator lights when it's plugged in - the display does not work at all. I'm really pissed because I am running a new tune with a whole new setup, and really wanted to monitor how things were running. My gauge was only used for maybe a season, and my car sat for a year with no run time at all! I contacted them, and they said that because it was out of warranty, that I would have to pay for diagnostics on it, and whatever repairs, or even replacement if necessary. Total bullshit for such an expensive gauge!:bash: That's why I have been hunting for a used pair, or even another single unit, because I figure it will be the cheaper way to go, rather than all of the shipping, testing, repair, etc. to get mine fixed.

That's a shame. How long was the warranty? This happens with all parts unfortunately. That's why a short warranty on an expensive part can be the pits. This might be one of those cases where an extended warranty is beneficial.

Speaking of warranties, I have a Magellan GPS unit that I bought just under a year ago, so it is under warranty. I kept the unit scratch free and it performed great. I downloaded the latest software update from their website and THEIR download messed up the unit. It basically is dead. I called support and they couldn't do anything over the phone and told me to ship it to them for a replacement. I had to pay for the shipping to them (when THEY created the issue with their download as others have had similar issues with the download) and they sent me back a crappy, scratched up refurbished unit. In addition, they didn't load it with the latest software (which they were supposed to do) and the screen brightness is nothing like my original unit was. And it rattles like hell. So I returned it and will be getting another refurbished unit tomorrow. I mention this because even with a warranty we're not always going to be totally happy with a replacement, as nowadays you more likely will get a refurbished unit. I remember back in the day when a replacement actually meant you'd get a factory new item. :nonono:

Yeah your run of the few people I was refering to as having problems. But in all reality I don't think it's as many people as some make it out to be. It does suck though as your right they are expensive and there warranty is only good for 1yr from the date of purchase.

I posted earlier... one of my gauges works perfect, the other has been problematic since the very first day I installed. Ive sent it back several times.. I honestly dont think they did a thing to it even though they claim they replaced the board. Ive swapped the gauges around and still the same issues. If you tighten or loosen the nuts on the back they sometimes work temporarily. Ive also noticed the 2nd gauge is more likely to work in cooler temps.

Glad I went with tires instead of this gauge...Speedhut gauges FTW, however, I wouldn't mind adding 1 Aerforce to the mix, but I just can't take the risk.
Speedhut's warranty is 5 years

Aeroforce Interceptor gauges are awesome when they are working properly but they definitely have bugs/glitches.

For example, I have a dual set and the main gauge will power up normally when I start the car up but will immediately shut off once it finishes starting up. I have to press the right button to power up the gauge again. However my secondary gauge works flawlessly. I am just hoping they keep working.

id rather spend the extra money and get a FAST unit which is way more accurate

Well, sure it it is... if all you want is the a/f ratio. The Aeroforce will do that plus, like 30 other parameters, and each gauge will display 2 separate at the same time, or cycle through all of them. You are really comparing apples to oranges here. I personally have a wideband commander for the a/f, so that was independent of the Aeroforce anyway.

I ordered my gauge september 14th and it still hasnt shipped .

They keep telling me " next week".

I ordered from their website after realizing it was ten dollars higher that way, I mentioned them knocking ten bucks off for the delay- " No discounts sorry "

I ordered the wideband kit and mentioned to ship it all at Once hopefully to save a buck on shipping-- they shipped the wideband kit out anyways..

Now I have 450ish in an 02 sensor sitting in a box but no gauge

I would just advice anyone planning to place an order to be prepared for a long drawn out process of getting an interceptor.

That's good to hear, I was hoping the wideband would work right ...

Hopefully I'll get the gauge soon

I mounted the little controller with 3m double sided tape in the glovebox, hidden but very easy to get to. Wish I had some pics, but the cars at my friends garage, as my roof is is being re-done on my garage.
