You'd have to have more money than sense to spend 200 on this. I wouldn't spend 20 on it. Looks tacky and like something you'd get in autozone. I'm sure a bunch of little kids would like it though and think it's cool.

All great comments, some made me lol. Great sarcasm on this site sometimes. But I guess my original post should have been more clear. How does the effing thing know what gear it is in?

And just to be clear, I would never drop 200 on a shift knob.

Id imagine it has internal gimbals much like a smartphone that recognizes what angle/pitch the knob is at. You put it in 1st and save that as "1st gear" and it recognizes each time its in that position as 1st. Same with the rest.

I wonder if it freaks out when you are on the throttle though or turning........

As someone said, looks like something you'd find in the dollar bin @ Advance Auto.

I bet the build quality is cheap as shit.

No thanks. Would be cool if someone found a way to illuminate the 1,2,3,5,6 with like an LED or something.

Kinda kool but seems like useless bling.
I'd rather have one that is heated to keep my hands warm.

I was thinking this just the other day while in stop and go traffic, stupid me forgot to bring gloves.

That shifter looks really tacky...looks like it should be in a cheesy late '80s concept or movie car...

It's definitely different, but not something I'd ever want. Very expensive, too.

That's kinda what I was thinking of when I opened this thread. The shift pattern at the top of knob in digital format.
