So after last years on-track season, my front pads and rotors are left in bad shape, definetly wont pass inspection this year. I was looking at purchasing some new rotors and pads from lethal performance and wanted to know if anyone has used the Steeda High performance street pads with powerslot rotors. I am not sold on this combination so if anyone can recommend a better combo, please do. In the past I have just used the stock brembo rotors and various types of pads and lookin for something a little better.

Any help would be greatly appricieated.

The Powerslot rotors aren't bad. I have them on my 03 GT (has the Cobra 13" brakes, no track use) and they are very good on the street. My dad likes them on his Charger R/T as well.

I have no experience with the pads, but Powerslot is good if you want a decent upgrade over stock.

How about Baer Eradispeed 2-piece rotors or the 2-piece rotors from Full Tilt Boogie Racing. Those are both more expensive than the Powerslots, but they are lighter from the 2-piece construction.

Thanks, I like the look of the FTBR rotors, but 600 for the pair is more than twice the stock brembos. Is the 2.9 lbs per rotor savings going to make that much of a difference? i do like that you only have to buy the aluminum hats once though, or at least that is how it appears.

I guess no one has ever used the steeda pads. It looks like I'll have to go with the Hawk HPS. But which Rotors??

Yes, the 2-piece rotors are expensive, but they are built better & will last longer. The venting is more efficient and the design leads to less chance of warping.

Plus, they look better so that's a bonus. Personally I think they are worth the price. $600 isn't much for a piece that is very important to your track performance!

So i was reading in another recent brake thread and it seems there are complaints about hawk HPS pads not performing very well. Also, Carbotech Bobcats were mentioned but their website does not recommend them for track use. I have on-tracked probably 15 to 20 times over the past 5 years. I have only used non-stock type setup once, hawk pads that were street and track use, maybe HP plus, and they sucked cold to the point i rear ended someone, lightly.

Is there a pad that can be used for the street and track that does not have to be hot to work well on the street?

Note: I have brake cooling ducts and i have decided to get full tilt boogie racing 2 peice rotors. They say the can be bought without slots, which is what i plan on doing.
