I have a meth kit in my car but spraying before the supercharger. It does not have a big effect since the afr did not change a whole lot on the dyno while tuning it. Right now I turned the meth off all together since its wasting meth. I plan to tap the nozzle after the supercharger into the lower intake to get a better effect from it. If not then I am going to get rid of the kit all together and convert over to e85.

I'd also be worried about distribution to each cylinder not being the same to each. Because these cars do not have individual oxygen sensors, timing control and injector control.

If E-85 was readily available I would do that. Or if you can spend the extra money in it to put the good gasoline in do that. The extra 15-30hp isn't going to make a big difference while your roll racing the dads in minivans Monday through Friday and the Friday/Saturday nights aren't going to be affected much either.

But go ahead and buy your methanol kit because you've already convinced yourself of it anyway. Lol. Question are you going to do a used oil sample to see if you need to change your oil more often because methanol is harsh on bearings, metal surfaces and lubricants just like leaded race gas.

E-85 isn't readily availible. I've heard more positive feedback about meth than I have negative. This is coming from every crowd, postive displacement blowers, turbos, etc. chevys, fords, etc. I'm pretty stuck on meth. If Serickson's setup, which is almost the same as mine, works for him then the meth should also work for me.

^You only want to listen to the Lightning, GT500, and Terminator owners on the meth. We all have basically the same setup so we can share our knowledge to help each other out.

The other combo's are nowhere close to ours.

Looks like there's 2 places that sell E-85 in New Orleans also.

Yea but its a daily driver and I don't live close to a place with it. I don't want to go out of my way for gas. Also, then I'd have to make sure I always have enough to get around.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but is seticksin lying then? He has the exact setup as me. Ima do the exact same Meth dual nozzle injection as well. He said he can touch the blower after a run and its not hot.

This might be a stupid question but with e85, do you have to worry about it deteriorating or corroding in the fuel tank or anything? Like get a stainless tank or something. Is that even possible?

Blap blap blap.....

So y'all say listen to guys with our setups. A guy with the same setup as me records cooler IAT2s with meth. I'm stupid I guess for thinking it works and he's just lying to me. I'm just wanting to know the pros and cons before I do either setup. Meth is the most practical way to go for my situation. Lots of things can fail on a car, so I'm not too worried about the Meth kit malfunctioning because I'm trying to add some failsafe options to a kit.

It's all fine and we're here to discuss your thread. I hope he has had and will continue to have great success with it but he's 1 person pretty much that I know of now in watching and reading about it for over 3 years on multiple forums. So if it were me I'd wait until there were others before I spent that much money putting something that's rumored to be corrosive inside my engine.

If you do it come back and let us know how it does and good luck.

Killer chiller will cool it by 50 degrees. They say to race with the A/C on cause it generates more boost...

Come on man they are trying to give you good advice here which you obviously are argumentative about.

So then why ask if your already decided on what your gonna do. ???

Do it and let us know what happens which will probably be nothing.

Plus this guy is obviously getting rid of his kit for a reason.

brian i understand meth not working well with a TS however im a turbo car...is it the same thing? I see a bunch of turbo imports like evo's and subies using meth/pump running big boost...im a bit jelly....running 9's on pump will be easier with more boost:)

Meth works great in turbo applications with the proper fail safe. It's like running a race gas tune all the time.

IMO if you don't have one of our SVT vehicles with an intercooler then it seems meth works great. I can't say about other vehicles with intercoolers because I've been keeping up with meth on our vehicles only waiting for someone to break some ground.

So if I had a turbo car then yes I'd be researching putting it on there asap. Seems they see some good gains.
