Pull out the slips that have visible track name, date, and time. List the mods used for the times. Some ppl have been talkin' alot of trash w/o any sort of proof. Of course we can't calculate for track prep. The DA for most tracks can be found to even the playing field. Without some sort of proof to guage with it's all just :bs:

I ran a DA corrected 13.2 at 108mph in my 01 cobra with an x-pipe, cat back and grinding 3rd gear at a track that has awful track prep. Mach 1's are a few tenths faster with the 3.55's vs my 3.27's and solid vs my IRS. It should be pretty easy to get a bolt on Mach in the low to mid 12's. I think some of you mopar guys think just because it's a little N/A 4v that it can't keep up.

Exactly mine went 12.42 @ 113.2 corrected mods where intake, x-pipe, cat-back, spacer, converter

Can you even do more than light mods at the moment wit the encrypted PCM? Last I knew they were still working on being able to tune them.

There are a few light modded ones out there. One with a converter, drag radials and catback ran an 11.8 @ 114.

Another one with drag radials, catback and 75 shot ran an 11.6 @ 119.

Really cant do much with them at the moment. The stock exhaust and intake system is actually pretty damn good and you dont gain much by putting a CAI and exhaust on them. They also come with stock shorty headers. The tune is holding the 392 back bigtime. I would definately get in the 11's with a tune alone.

That guy on Challenger Talk cant remember his name that has the B&G tune said they expect him to pick up 35+rwhp

Intake exhaust tune had me at 111 at mir.

Yes the old vipers will win but they also didn't cost 28k new

Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk

Maybe splitting hairs but the same mods puts SRT-8 autos at 113-114mph at MIR. That's why from a roll on any given day, a Mach driven on the street would be fun, but likely pulled by an SRT-8 (from a roll).

comparing a viper to a mach is ridiculous... at least challengers and machs are in the same class.

um and my mods

No they're not. A Viper and Mach are probably closer in terms of refinements. You said "any Dodge" so.... :)

so basically your calling all of us liars and the only witness who counts is you? :lol1:

I know a girl who had a Bone stock A4 Z28 who would run between 12.90-13.0 constantly during bracket racing. Car had 8K original miles on it

Stock lid stock everything its very easy to look under the hood of an LS1 and see if its been violated lol.

I highly doubt those 12.9s from a stock A4. Would like to see the 60fts and trap speed.

I'm not sure I can dumb this down enough for you to grasp.

I don't care if you can find 100 people who ran 12s bone stock... It doesn't make it an average time when thousands upon thousands of people can't do better than a 13.5.

Fwiw if I put my stock air box in place you wouldn't have a clue I have any mods done to it and you would be wrong.

That's not exactly fair. Being an auto, it's all in the 60ft and conditions. For instance, if the LS1 A4 was shown to be as fast as the 6M, there would be a lot more 12.9/13.0 timeslips from consistency and probably more sales due to being just as quick.

I can't help Dodges are slow

And LT1s.... ;-)

They are??

Yeah thats "redbarron" and Dave (the B&G tuner) is having problems with the PCM. It doesnt seem to be going very well. He does have the chrysler engineering software to tune it (maybe) Its giving him some problems. I guess he has "tuned" some 392's with the car actually being in the shop but honestly, I dont believe it until I see it or hear from somebody that had it done. NOBODY has come out on any of the Challenger forums saying they had Dave tune their 392. The ONLY person saying it has been done is the "redbarron" guy. Some other guys have called B&G and B&G said they cannot tune the 392 because he is "too busy" at the momoent.

That being said, from the logs I have done, the 392's are pig rich (at least mine is) and most of the time I only see 16-18 degrees of total timing. It might spike to 21 every once in a while but not often. I say I could gain at least 35rwhp and 35rwtq with a tune and most likely more. Also taking alot of the torque management out will help the trans shifting ALOT.

Thought you did that with gears, sticky tires, and some bolt ons. (cold air, exhaust)

It also ran that with those mods, picked up nothing at all with those from stock. Weather/track conditions maybe?
