Lol. I'm sorry but all this proves is the Tweecer tune was crap to begin with. Also sounds like a mild setup where most of the tune was already done and needed a small adjustment, nothing a thousand other other tooners could do.

It's quite the opposite. It's a H/C truck with custom grinds. It's obvious your position on TMS and that's totally fine. We can agree to disagree and that's ok. From my expierences with TMS I can say I'd recommend them. Thats all.

Like I've said, it's too bad you've had a bad expierence with them.

whipple and tweecer on a lightning? I've A) never seen a whipple on a Gen 1 and B) never seen tweecer used on a Gen 2.

But, lets take 3 lightnings...
Lightning 1 23* of timing and meth injection... on a truck with a ported eaton and 6lb lower. Truck made 400rwhp and ran 13's, then promptly blew up

Lightning 2 truck had a ported eaton and 6lb lower, yet somehow andy couldnt get the afr's in line... said he needed new injectors

lightning 3 truck was stock and andy blew it up on the dyno.

I'm not at all trying to hide how I feel about TMS, they suck in every aspect. As for the tune they did on that Lightning, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

LOL. you mean the lightning that showed up with work done by someone else. Andy tried to make a baseline and it spit a rod out at 3900RPM's before Andy even touched the tune. Explain to me how that's Andy's fault Dusten.

I was told it was stock. so, if it had work done elsewhere then others aren't telling a whole story, but when the story fits the others, you tend to believe it. I like your shop marc, but the fact is andy's tuning has sent more than a few customers home unhappy.

that also doesn't get rid of the fact andy had a lightning tuned beyond the safe limits and on meth to help and it blew up, or that a truck came in with basic mods and andy couldnt tune it and blamed it on the fuel system

then others aren't telling a whole story,

That's usually the case.

I will admit that during Andy's learning curve, he ran into roadblocks. Just like anybody else would have in this job. FWIW, tuning open loop is easier that most of you might realize. It's closed loop (drivability) tuning that is the issue for most tuners. We tune 6-8 cars a week. Most of which make well over 600whp and the only adjustments we have to make are to cold start. Open loop basically consists of A/F, timing, and boost. If someones car doesn't make the HP they think it should and the A/F, timing, and boost are where it should be, sorry. They either have other mechanical problems or they are too optimistic on what the numbers should be. There isn't a magic wand that comes with the SCT software that creates HP.

A few of the people on this forum and one other forum that complain about us, had cars that sat over at Horsepower Ranch for months because John couldn't figure out the problems. When I bought the dyno from him, those cars came with it. Andy started his tuning career on cars that John (the owner of Horsepower Ranch) couldn't figure out and John is one of the best tuners in the nation. Is it because he forgot how to use the SCT software or is it because the car had mechanical or electrical issues that he couldn't solve?

All of you have know idea how many cars come into my shop for tuning and we turn them away because the car has significant mechanical issues. I try and be polite as I can be. However, most of them leave pissed off, post on forums that were idiots and we were afraid to tune their car. Or, we didn't know how to. How do I respond to that without calling them out. I can't so I don't.

Sure, Andy doesn't know everything. I can't expect him to. Once in a while he runs into a roadblock where the car doesn't respond. I can honestly say that happens about 1% of the time.

Anyway, I took over this shop last November. If we have worked on any of your cars in that time frame and you are not satisfied, call me. I would like to talk to you about it and resolve it.

Dusten have any of the L guys contacted Marc directly? Its hard chasing gremlins which cause a car not to respond correctly to tuning, and its hard when dealing with a tune already ruined by someone before I agree.

the "stock" L blew up at TMS, im sure marc was involved
Tweek's dropped off the map lately but his truck is at another shop that takes cars to TMS to tune, and the truck that ran out of fuel is buying 60lb injectors and 255's and letting tms re-tune it

I would be happy to post the dyno graph of the truck that broke a rod. The reason it broke had nothing to do with the work that Kevin did either. Like I said, it broke a rod on the tune that was in it. The A/F was mid to high 10's, 7 degrees of timing and 11 lbs of boost. It should have been fine. Every engine has it's breaking point and this one was lower. Just because Andy was operating the throtlle doesn't make it his fault. there was no reason for him to shut off the run when the incremental numbers showed it to be safe.

Have you talked to any of the L or Harley truck owners? Its not possible to know every car , and every combo but I know the L's can definitely have some interesting parameters.

I had great part service when I would get Bryan, hell I ordered everything MM had to offer for my 03 Cobra times 2 because a buddy did it also. The whole head tick thing (that ended up being scuffed piston skirts) just left a bad taste in my mouth because it cost me 3000 extra dollars. I have 2 cobras NEED tunes and honestly I am just not sure.

Marc, hit up the A&W meets in Port Orchard? I live just a few minutes away.
