Sux he can't drive his Nismo... stock or modded he should have walked you
Good thing there was no turns there, lol
I'm not impressed with Z's for the money.
My wife loves hers :dw:. Im pretty impressed with it myself, runs pretty good
I'm glad your wife likes hers and that you're impressed with it. I'm not, for the money.
Right, cause all drag strips have turns?
That's kinda my point, the Z is a multi dimensional true sports car...
It lost here in a straightline, but it shouldn't have....straightline performance is not the V6 stangs' forte...its more of a jack of all....but you take the Z to Closed course, slolom auto X ect...it will hand it ass to it along with cars waay more expensive....do some light suspension work to and weight reduction and you got yourself a track Monsters!

Yeah but how much money was dumped into it?? SC and tt Z have higher traps than that...the guy at AFM acts like the v6 stang is some kinda secret super car in the making LOL...they are impressive for what they are I guess...I'm more impressed with a Z anyday
...don't forget cooling. The Z overheats worst than any Mustang in recent history. Don't trump it up to much.
This!!
My '11 V6 with 235/50/18 Michelins will spin the tires really hard from a 1st gear roll and spin really bad on the 1-2 shift. It has 3.73 gears and 1st gear in the V6 MT82 trans is 4.24 to 1.
...its probably the roads that you're on combined with cold weather that you're able to break them loose...your mustang isnt a freak...its the crappy roads your on.
i get to drive mustangs on a weekly basis. (work at a Ford dealer) here in socal, the temps right now are in the mid 80's and no way is a V6 stang gonna burn rubber in first from a roll!!
heck the 2013 5.0's barely break loose in 1st (from a roll) and spin halfway through 2nd before grabbing traction and then a slight "chirp" going into third!
Thats the funniest statement Ive heard in a long while!
So, it legit that a 2-3v can get'em loose, but a v6 thats putting down the same numbers as said v8 can't do the same...?
What a joke of a statement!! :rollseyes
Yes and the V6's that you drive at the dealership don't have 3.73 gears, 93R tune, CAI and aluminum driveshaft!! :bash:
You heard wrong, the early VQ35DEs were done internally at around 500WHP due to the rods. The newer VQ35HRs and VQ37VHRs have internals that can withstand over 600WHP on a factory bottom end. In fact the VQ37VHR is a much more reliable engine then the N54 in the 335is...
FWIW a stock 370Z is about on par with a stock LS1 in straight line performance, and responds similar to bolt ons. Its not hard to get 12s out of a bolt on Z...

The 5.0 is faster than a 370Z around a track so I'm sure that a new 3.7 Mustang with the Performance package would give a 370 a good run. In the one test I read the 370's brakes were fading after just one or two laps which is pretty sad.
