it'll probably flow more, just not a significant amount more. unless we see some testing of the flow rates between the blowers, we won't really now. at this point, anyone looking at a TVS should look for either a VMP TVS or the '13 TVS and go with whichever is cheaper, because it'll probably be a wash as far as the performance difference between the two.

The VMP TVS has a machined nose for a smaller pulley. The smallest you would be able to run on the '13 TVS is a 2.5" while the VMP is a 2.385" pulley both being Autoliberte's pulleys. Still not significant (30 rwhp)but there is a difference. Machining the nose I would think is around $400-500 maybe less.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the intercooler core has been improved on the 2013 GT500. i know the heat exchanger has been significantly improved. price pending, that might be a nice upgrade for those looking for maximum efficiency.

You are correct in that the intercooler core has been improved. It has a revised fin design to transfer the heat from the compressed air more efficiently into the core where the coolet medium is and aid the flow of the discharged air from the supercharger through the core to the bottom of the manifold with less pressure drop across the core.

I am surprised we haven't heard from some of the supercharger vendors weighing in on this topic.

Well holly crap! I guess I will be waiting for oem 2.3 TVS pop up in for sale section towards the end of this summer. I'm pretty sure the first ones would be still around $1700-$2000 even used. I think spending $2000 on everything needed to run little over 600 rwhp is not a bad deal at all.

Because it might actually hurt the price of the kits out now. possibly?? If you can get a factory TVS that makes near or right at the same amount of power for 1k or more less, then that might hurt a bit.......Of course you do get MUCH MORE in the VMP TVS kit than just the blower itself.

I think the 4k VMP kit comes with the blower, big ass intake elbow, SCT tuner with VMP tunes, spark plugs, a couple different pulleys, 90mm idler pulley....ect...ect....

Yeah I know, but I would expect at some point they will step in give us their value prop as to why they are still the best deal. Just looking to hear all sides.

I wonder how hard it would be to grind that "8" into a "4"...:lol1: I know it's a dumb thing, but it would bother me having it say 5.8 on my 5.4 blower...

Could probably grind it all off then polish it. Either way the price, if it remains the same, will definately drop the price of the others.

This is very tempting. Blower and elbow for $2300? Ford racing TVS is $2750 on buyfordracing, and the VMP TVS is $3500 with pulley/elbow.

One would think vmp will lower their pricing

Or offer a bigger TVS upgrade for 07 to 13 :)

Vmp 2.3 tvs packages will continue to be competitive for what is offered, which includes tunes, pulley already installed, elbow, and 1 year warranty. There will also be a stripper tvs offered for those that already have some parts. The upcoming silver tvs's and 2.4 SS race pullies will give you the option for the 2011/2012 look without the gaudiness of a 5.8 badge.

Are we going to be seeing bigger TVS upgrades in the near future? I'm still on the fence between the Whipple and TVS and have been leaning towards the Whipple. Had a TVS on my "old" Camaro, and iat's were a problem, but that was a different animal...

Way to stay competitive Justin. I will admit it does look as though the mass production of tvs units for the '13 gt500's( and their compatibility with earlier years gt500's) will unfortunately bring th overall price of these units down. I do foresee a larger version coming out eventually although you yourself have shown just how efficient these blowers are even at just 2.3 liters.
