maybe someone that doesnt own a computer and therefore doesnt go on the interent will buy it lol, lets not play dumb here, it didnt just foul a plug in the #8 hole because of bad gas, and it didnt just fix itself, but wishful thinking by you

The right thing? Sorry, but yall need to get off your high horses. I changed the plug, did a compression test, changed the oil and have over 500mi on it since the code got thrown with no issues. No noises, nvh, smoke, oil consumption, anything. No trying to start shit, but the whole "right thing", thing is very annoying. I've done everything in my power to make sure the car is right, and as its been driving as of late I'd say it is. Only thing i have left i could do, is pull the car apart to check for possible damage, but why would I if its running alright?
Rebuild the engine....just to be safe:lol:
So for all those that thing the number 8 went. What proof do you have it is bad? With out a tear down there is no 100% way to say the number 8 is gone. All we are doing is just guessing. Good luck anyway.
if it 100% fine, then why sell it? keep it and save your money.
Not that i have to justify to you why I'm selling it, but I'm not saving money keeping it, i owe money on it, and with a deployment coming up in a little less than a year I'd like to free up some money and live a bit more bill-free. That alright?if it 100% fine, then why sell it? keep it and save your money.
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks like that!If its not your money or your car or your choice why worry? Lol
borescope it. That will tell you if there is any damage to the cylinder and or piston. dont have to open the motor and you'll know for sure.
Most of the piston failures I've seen pics of have broken the ringlands on the side of the piston, but they're encapsulated by the cylinder and just along for the ride so to speak. When the piston is removed, the pieces fall out.
That cyl being down on compression says a lot, a borescope may tell the tale but only in the form of cylinder wall scoring. You won't see the broken area with a borescope.

Bahahaha i really give a shit how anyone spends their money. Let me be more direct. The car wasnt for sale before this incident... but now it is. Seem fishy? Also answer this, would you or anyone in this thread buy this car for KBB private value?
