My buddy had been calling me out for awhile now. Finally i will have the following parts on my car next week and should be getting car tuned at AM next Friday!

Jlt 123 cai
Frpp scj monoblade tb
Offroad x
10% IW lower pulley
Tune

Buddys c6z

Wcch ported and milled heads
Average size cam
Fast intake
Nitrous (wont be spraying it)
560 rwhp
Close to 700/700+tq on spray haha
Big and littles
I believe his BEST ET 10.3x @ 136
Most of the time car traps 134 to 135 on a good run.

Im prob going to need some drag radials to get some traction. What do you guys think will be the outcome? Im hoping my car puts down 690 to 700rwhp and match those numbers with tq...
Thanks for reading!

Just a guess, but if you're at 700rwhp and he's at 560 and not spraying, you should handle him pretty easy provided you can get traction.

That would be great but these c6zs ALWAYS seem to impress me. Im coming from a hci nitrous c6z as well. Mine went low 10s at 138 on motor!! 136 average mph. He has a bit smaller of a cam. Seems like average bolt on 13 gt500 traps 134 to 135ish average. To me sounds like it may be a drivers race! He continues to say itll be a joke n he will mop the floor with my shelby and said i made a big mistake by selling my c6z haha I just tell him to be careful bc he might get beat by a bolt on car lol i dont even have headers...

If you have a go pro, just be sure to mount it facing forward. That way we can see the Vettes taillights walking away from you.

Haha I kid I kid. Should be a close run. Get it on video!

The only factor against you is the power/weight... you definitely will make alot more power than him, but the C6Z's move out... you will need at least 100 more rwhp than him I would say to take him. If you are in the 675rwhp range after mods, you should win it, provided the driver mod is all good.

Im hoping i get my car back next weekend and then hopefully ill have the extra cash to get some drs... so 2 to 3 weeks im hoping. If it doesnt snow and get salt all over the roads :-/. I think itll come down to traction and driver. I think we are equally decent drivers. Not the greatest but id say we are good.

My car put down 619/622 bone stock ha
Second pull whish is the more realistic number considering iat etc. Was 600rwhp 612 tq. That was BONE stock.

Should be a good race after mods then. I definitely suggest Drag radials.. traction was non-existent, even dangerous on my 12' with the factory goodyears. I have Nitto 555r 305/35-20's on now and love them. And they work great in the rain too.. I daily drive mine. It's amazing how much more fun these cars are once they have traction. :dancenana:

Thats awesome that you daily drive yours! So that means you have driven multiple times in tje rain with the drs. Are they really ok in the rain? I feel like i need more of a sidewall but not sure if i want to spend the big bucks on wheels and tires. Nitto drs are like 325 a tire for 20" drag rafials right?

Yep, driven more than a few times in the rain so far. The tires perform no differently than a set of normal street tires so far. They are brand new with good tread on them, so that may change when they get worn down, but I will have another set waiting to be mounted when that happens.
And yes, they cost me $315.00 each, and $20/ea to mount/balance.

What are your mods poppacapp?

I now have 2.6 upper metco pulley, 90mm idler pulley, JLT Carbon intake tube(not the full JLT intake, just the tube), MGW shifter, and dyno tune by Dan at Pro Dyno. Put down 571rwp and 587tq after tune. Managed 510/499 bone stock... so decent gains for the mods. The tires hold awesome in 2nd 3rd and 4th.. 1st will spin.. full pressure, and cold right now too... and hitting 2nd from first hard will spin some... just nailing it in 2nd from a roll, it hooks... I love the tires so far.

Edit: oh yeah, and TR6 plugs were put in also.

I went out a few weeks ago when the temp was around 50 degrees and did a few 60-160 pulls. With stock power the GYs were still cutting loose a bit in third from 60. Once they have full bite the car absolutely rockets to 160. But, if you are running another 75-100 hp over stock (in sub 50 degree weather) you will definitely need a tire upgrade. :burnout:

I ran the Nitto DR's on mine before i dropped the power down a bit. At 680 RWHP i spun through 2nd and hooked in 3rd. with 305/35-17. might wanna look into a bit sticker DR imo. But the nittos were def great for daily driving. until thety start to wear then the rain becomes fun. haha

You run him from a dig without tires like he has you you go down. Simple as that. Takes a LOT of power to play catch up against a modded Vette that has traction. Argue all you want about hp #'s.
