Not at all.. He will even admit he's not a great driver. Lot of tire spin, and rev limiter. It reminds me of a certain white Z06 with an A&A we both know.

You didn't run that at Morocco did you? I seem to remember you nailing a pretty impressive time that day but it's been several years now.

I did make that run at US 41. I raced a C5Z that day (he had drag radials, nitrous and a few other mods), and He couldn't match my ET. He was shocked to find out my car only had bolt-ons. :-D

You should loss pretty easily... Bone stock I was running 12.2 @ 116, With a CAI and Catback and tire I was running 11.8 @ 118 and with a Cam and Full exhaust and Tune I was running 10.9-11.0- @ 124

You E.T'd me on your full bolt on setup(by .1) but I had 1mph on you so I don't see a "easy" win in that race........

I have NEVER EVER argued the full bolt on and cam car should beat me pretty well with a driver mod, ever. This isn't my first go around, I k ow what it can do, I have driven a crammed C5Z. I posted the video and showed you what the result was. I went over .5 second faster then him....clearly it's a driver.

But I would have no real problems running a bolt on C5Z.....

You're right, it would be a drivers race. However, given what I have seen at the track, I would say that you would probably beat 80-90% of the bolt-on Z06s you run into.

Granted I don't know your DA at your track or what the temp was for you but its hard to get as bad as I just posted unless your track is in the mountains. Also it wasn't "Full Bolton" It was a factory tuned car with a Cold Air and Borla catback with stock manifolds and 4 cats lol... Not saying your car is a slouch but a 3040lb car with aggressive gearing is no joke... You do Headers and now your talking a **** hair under 3000lbs, The power to weight on these cars are hard to compete with... You get someone who can row gears and your in some trouble...

Maybe he's off on the DA. My bone stock 01 trapped 112 mph in +2800 DA. My E/T was only 12.80 due to traction. Only way I was able to get out the hole without tire spin was to kinda bog it, then punch it. I was spinning quite a bit too when I hit second. The fastest 5.0 that day trapped 105 mph.
This was at Byron.

Meh, just tired of him also...he posts in EVERY thread that deals with a 5.0 and thinks people should bow to his $28,000 pre owned, 2013 TVS swapped GT500. It's cute, really.

I just like seeing him get mad, read back in his posts. When he gets fired up he just goes on this rant....it's great.

Well, He seems pretty sure of the conditions. For those numbers, on that car, He would have to be "off" by over 3000 feet. Keep in mind, He has an '01 which is 385 hp, not 405 hp. He is also claiming that all of the reasons that the car made less hp were still on the car. I ran 11.86 @ 118.7 in my '02 Z06 with just a Halltech CAI. However, that run was made in "mineshaft" conditions. Are you saying that you believe He ran 6 mph faster than you, in worse air and on a sticky tire? Sorry, I can't believe that.

I didnt say I believed the DA. That's why I said he's off on the DA.

It's just old, no matter what ANY 5.0 owner posts a new edge owner comes in and says how it can't be done but if "I beat a stock cobra from a dig in my Bugatti" new edge owners would say how the bugatti left early or cobra needs a driver mod.

For that run, the DA would have been below sea level. He must be very confused. :??:

I learned at the dragstrip yesterday that the fastest bone stock 5.0 (stock tires and all) auto is 11.8 and fastest manual is 12.0.... :rolling: Where do these people get these numbers from?
