Nice runs, Obviously that GTO had a bad launch or missed a gear or something. What's up with your exhaust tips though ? Seem to be sticking out there quite a ways!

nope he didn't miss but he did spin. But what he trapped that run is what he usually traps.I ran 12.61@115 he ran 12.71@115. He did also run 11.9@115 that same night. Me and him ran on the street and we were pretty much dead even. He pulled a nose on me at about 125-130 MPH.

Damn that's a bad ass video!

Car sounds mean as hell! Are you still on the stock mt82? If so are you using any aftermarket shifters? I'm swapping out the gear oil in mine and run a mgw.

Thanks, I have a lot of fun at our local track :)
As for the mods for the transmission. I have an MGW shifter, RP Syncro-mesh in it, removed the helper spring, and put the CHE K-member brace with the race torque limiters. I am also running a WOT box, during that video I was running a 150ms interrupt, now I am running 50ms interrupt :)

LS1 camaro Z28 vs 03/04 SC Cobra mustang - YouTube

This is pre-heads/cam/stall/headers & exhaust install.

Mods: $60 bent piece of pipe in place of cats, $30 cutout, $50 lid with filter, 3.73's.

My trans is slipping too, on the 2nd race it hits limiter.

Here's another race with 394 whp 5.0 mustang 6 speed on lightweight cf5 wheels. He shifts into 5th and i pull even about to pull ahead then he lets off.

cool Camaro. You made it sound like the cobra got killed. wish my cobra still had a catback and filter only like 10 years ago. I would love to have ran your car with those mods if we were closer. You would have been surprised with the outcome

While we're on the topic of Displacement, You do realize that a LS1 is a High Compression 5.7 Liter motor right? hopefully you're also aware the Terminator is a 4.6 Liter low compression motor with a Eaton M112 supercharger correct ?

The M112 essentially adds 1.8 liters of displacement to an engine. W/O porting or Meth that 1.8 liters shrinks drastically to ~1 liter once it gets hot.

So while you feel that you're comparing apples to oranges from a power plant perspective. You're actually dealing with very comparable displacement. Yet you still have the high compression to boot. Not sure why you think you've accomplished some great feat.

The LS1 is 10.25:1. So......with that you must think the old LT1 at 10.44:1 is a monster drag only motor. Don't even bother mentioning the race gas only coyote 5.0 at 11:1. Please tell me you aren't that guy that loses and your excuse is your low compression factory motor was the contributing factor....poor low compression factory blown mustang guys don't get any breaks.

Cobras are legit no doubt but a well modded bolt on LS1 can mph very well. I had full bolt ons and ran mid 12s with a 6speed at 112-114

Its funny because alot of people still under estimate the ls1 cars. When I had my 01 WS6 with just short headers and a lid I outran every 03 Cobra I raced on the street and was called a liar about my cars mods many times.:lol1:
I know what the Cobras are capable of but on the street on real street tires is another game.
The faster car doesnt always win on the street.
