Nice. This will be my last off topic post in this thread. I just thought some of the people that like unique things mike find this interesting. The most rare option on a 66 Shelby was on car 6S001. I was a prototype that was a white fastback with blue stripes and....a blue vinyl top...on a fastback!!!! I have a black and white picture. I think it looks cool but it wasn't approved for production...

Well, the devil is in the details.

If GT500 production continues into December, it likely will be only for a day or two. If the supply of already-made Trinity motors awaiting chassis mating continues to exceed what's already scheduled through 11/27, it's by precious few if any. Convertible production already will have wrapped prior to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

It's especially important to remember scheduled production of any particular vehicle may not begin and end on the same calendar day. Some builds that will have begun Wednesday 11/27 are likely not to be complete before post-holiday work resumes on 12/2.

The current MY 2014 GT500 roster numbers 5,685. ANY further vehicles not already accounted-for, including any ceremonial "last few" Ford may have planned for charity auction, its own archives or key program contributors that may be scheduled to begin final assembly after the holiday weekend, are likely to be VERY few indeed - if any.

If the convertible production is finished :What was the total number built for 2014 and how does it compare to how many were built in 2013?

This is exactly why I quit posting info. I literally was getting over 125 PM's per day. Some people became rude, demanding, and also argumentative about the info I provided. It just wasn't worth it anymore. Give Madlock a break, because it definitely gets old.

Thanks for the post Chris. This is a busy week for a lot of us with the unveil and the LA Auto show, the new Shelby GT unveil, the Shelby relocation, and a new Shelby coming to my home from California.

Didnt mean to be short, but combined with a holiday week, and its been a real but kicker.

Has Ford shut down the production line yet for the 2014 Shelby GT500.
The dealer where I purchased my 2014 Shelby has one in the Body Shop as of today.
It should be one of the last ones produced I'm thinking.

Not all builds have yet been completed but no further builds are entering the pipe. The last in-progress GT500 builds will soon be complete.

With the plethora of units Ford is dumping into dealer stocks, those paying MSRP today is likely to regret it tomorrow, unless it happens to be for a one-of-a-kind remaining car with the EXACT desired color and option content.

Nearly-loaded double-black Coupes are the most common variant by far - having been made in the hundreds while many other combinations only ever existed in ones or twos.

For the most part, dealers start paying to own their inventory after about 60 days, so I'd expect to see some more aggressive deal making as stores will want the unit sale for year and not carry such a large potential liability too far into the new year.

The aforementioned is NOT the final Coupe build, or even one of the last couple dozen.
