Funny we keep getting "dinosaur" comments. Is that supposed to hurt our feelings or something? If our Cobras are still on the road OUTPERFORMING a car 10 years newer, I see no relevance. I'd take a terminator over an ugly ass (literally) 5.0 any day.

Funny we keep hearing comments about supposedly being "dumped" by a girlfriend this guy apparently knows all about. Did he finally get a girlfriend and now tries to throw that on everyone like his new 5.0? Lol. No, I don't have a girlfriend.. I have a wife who, by the way, is very excited about the new house we're building with the $60k I have in the bank that I decided to spend on her, not a new GT500. You'll wish you had that $30k back you dumped on your Coyote if you ever get past the girlfriend stage and put a marriage before your next build.

For being 10 years newer and for the price you are paying for a GT now a days, I sure hope it will be better than the cobra lol. still, a pulley bolt on cobra will go mid to low 11's and its ancient technology. To this day people are still buying a 2003 car. :rockon: :beer::burnout:

There is no hoping about it, I'm going to take my car into the 10's N/A. Cobras are awesome, they really are. However, the Coyote motor and the reasonably stiff chassis in the newer cars make for a solid foundation for building speed.
Most non to semi-car enthusiasts are buying the Terminators because most are already built. It's easy and reasonably cheap speed. That is not me, I don't want a car that someone else modified. Plus, just like a GT500, I wouldn't want to rip one up.

Look I married when I was 18 (now 28) after knocking up my ex in high school,went to the military had another kid, seen a bunch of shit while in Iraq, and we both grow apart over the last couple of years......I think it's my right to decide if I don't want a serious relationship right now so stop ASSUMING again with all that nonsense you wrote. My 12 gt is my dream car. I wanted one since the 5.0s were released. I went to the dealership and purchased my dream car. Some of us want a 92 honda hatch, 07 wrx, 96 viper, 03 cobra, 07-14 shelby, 08 z06, 02 SS, you name it. I purchased my dream car, added 10psi, and have had alot of fun. There is only a few people on svt performance that carry your attitude. You feel as if the car you drive is the vehicle everyone should drive. You are that guy.

He paid more than you did for your Terminator, or base 5.0. Buy, and mod your car for you and how it makes you feel not to seek attention from random dudes who don't care anyway.

See that's the thing, ever since the 5.0 came out it's been "this is the greatest mustang ever made, better than a gt500 and screw those old ass Fairmont chassis cobra's with their lame irs shoehorned on a chassis not designed for it, crappy interior, etc etc" In a lame attempt to try and discredit it's "older brother" as well as a car that's superior to it (gt500) so IMO it's been on both sides of the fences.

It really started when the 07 GT500 came out, when it was putting up acceleration numbers only slightly better than the 03/04 Cobra, aw man it was crazy around here. Some swore the 03/04 was a better car the the 07 GT500.

It's called buyers remorse for the 5.0 crowd. Maybe they want to justify their purchase. Wanted something new and couldn't afford a GT500..why not pretend the 5.0 is better?

If this conversation were Mach 1 vs new 5.0 I could see their point. The terminator, however, is still neck and neck in the boxing ring (with even more potential for the money difference).
