Had my My Boss 302 setup installed this morning. Start up and idle are near normal levels. Normal driving sounds great with nice deep tone. there is no resonance.at any level up to eighty. very comfortableat cruise speed'' now the fun partgreat sound when on the power. it has a goog deep rumble espwith the side pipes exhuast directed to thh.. .ground. the locl muffler shop completed the job in 1.5 hours`the overall sound is greatwhen i can ican i will post a sond. this is defintily a good addition.

Glad you are happy with it. There's a new found burble that you can hear at the sides but it is difficult to capture as it is rather mild and changes in tone throughout the rpm range. But it is definitely one that a trained ear will hear. One that will absolutely turn you around to see what just went by. Not because of the decibal count but rather because it simply sounds right.

Question:

anyone think of possible performance hinderance with these? lets say a 1 7/8 set of LT's with the 3 inch collector and then into the Boss H pipe which I believe is 2.5 inches? that then goes back out in the stock exhaust which is around 2.75 inches>?

Reason I ask is will the difference in diameters hurt the performance of the vehicle?

I will try to get one this week. I have not noticed any power loss. All comments from fellow Shelby owners and other car guys have had nothing but positive things to say about the sound. I have put 1,500 miles on the Shelby since the pipes were put on, no complaints or regrets.
Yesterday I did have a cop follow me for a few miles and pulled up and paced me for awhile, through a few traffic lights. Before they turned away the partner in the passenger seat looked over at me smiled and gave a thumbs up.

I've got some money coming from tax return and thinking about upgrading the exhaust. The options are doing the new side exhaust kit for the GT500 or going with LTs and the retro chambered catback from Stainless Works. Anyone else tried the side exhaust kit yet?

I installed the side exhaust kit on my 2012 this past fall. They sound great. Currently running with the stock mufflers. Love how the sound bounces off the car beside me as I pull away from a stop light.

Awesome, thanks.

I'm wondering how they side exhaust kit would work with an aftermarket catback like the SW retro chambered kit. I'm assuming there'd have to be some custom fabrication. Anyone installed with aftermarket mufflers or catback?

I had the side pipes with my Borla S types at first and then changed back to the stock mufflers. The deep sound of the side pipes plus the deep sound of the Borlas was too much for me. The sound of the side exhaust coupled with the Borla mufflers had a really deep drone. I run them open but you can really dial in the sound with different size openings in the cut outs. 7/8 opening sound very good as well.
